Tier 2: The Parking Lot

Anyone who has lived in the Midwest long enough is familiar with the damage the freeze-thaw cycle wreaks on our pavement. Our parking lot is bumpy, riddled with cracks, and dotted with potholes that become ankle-deep puddles when it rains. The damage is not just unsightly and inconvenient (wet socks, anyone?)… it is unsafe for those who use walking aids, and a slipping hazard during icy weather.

Just like our building, our parking lot serves more than just Sunday worshipers. We welcome Rail Trail users, preschoolers and their parents, recovery group members, and many others on a daily basis. We also serve as overflow parking for the Cabin Counseling and Resource Center and the Zionsville Town Hall.

We plan to repair, reseal, and repaint the parking lot. Our repaired lot will be safer, easier to use, and less likely to turn into a lake when it rains. Campaign funds will be directed to this project second. The work will be completed when funds become available, sometime in 2026–2027.
