Rev. Tyler Thompson

Senior Minister

An Indiana native, Rev. Tyler A. Thompson, Senior Minister, began his ministry at Zionsville Christian Church in June 2016. As the Senior Minister, Tyler is responsible for the spiritual leadership and vision-casting of the congregation.

Tyler and his wife, Amanda, have two young children (Whittaker and Evvie). Tyler holds a BS degree from Texas Christian University (Ft. Worth, TX) and a master of divinity degree from Christian Theological Seminary (Indianapolis).

Tyler believes that faith is best lived, and encourages individuals to tell their personal stories while seeking the convergence of God’s good news of redemption and an individual’s lived story.

Brenna Green

Music Director

Brenna Green is an Indianapolis native and currently lives in Brownsburg. She has her BA in piano performance from Anderson University, where she also studied organ, and her MM in piano pedagogy from Butler University. When she isn’t teaching or playing piano or organ, Brenna enjoys composing music, performing with a Balinese gamelan ensemble, hiking, history, and accumulating too many houseplants.

Sandy Chan

Sandy and her husband, Bryan, have been part of the Zionsville community since 2008. They have two delightful children (Zoey and Zander) that are quiet active. Sandy grew up on a small farm in Michigan and went on to receive a degree in elementary education. You can often find the whole family at a ballroom or swing dance party on the weekends. Sandy’s other hobbies include baking and taking the kids on adventures to various parks, museums, and activities, like bug hunting.

Laura Wilmot

Laura Wilmot joined the Zionsville Christian Church staff in June 2021. Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, she worked in book publishing in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, and New York City before moving to Indiana and establishing a freelance copy editing and production editing business. After several years as a full-time parent, she is happy to rejoin the workforce part time. Laura and her husband, Jeremy, have two young sons (Nathaniel and Ethan).

Markus Shobe

Bookkeeper

Markus Shobe is a native of Indianapolis and was raised in the church his whole life. He graduated from the IU Kelley School of Business with a major in accounting. Ever since he was a child he wanted to have his own business, and in 2014 he started freelancing. In 2018 he created an LLC. He really enjoys working with churches, real estate investors, and day cares. In his spare time he loves spending time with his family and friends and watching basketball and football.
