Face-to-Face Plan begins: Easter Sunday 2021

Last week, a Task Force comprised of Dr. Rick Gunderman; Dr. Wendy Schulte; Elders Sharon DeLong and Rena Russell; and our Building/Property Chair Pam Emily met with Rick Morse (President) and Rev. Tyler Thompson (Pastor). It is their recommendation that we can begin Face to Face worship outdoors, starting on Easter April 4, 2021.

You will have the choice to either sit in lawn chairs (that you furnish), and sit socially distanced in the front portion of the parking lot, or sit in your car Drive in Style towards the back.

We will have a great Easter Celebration with music from our ensemble, a powerful message, and a celebration of New Life.

Participants must wear masks, and keep distance between each other. There will be no circulating and greeting, the building and restrooms will be closed (except for worship leaders). BUT there will be a joyous time of waving at one another, tooting our horns, and knowing that we are celebrating a resurrection that will eventually lead to face to face worship indoors in the near future.

Outdoor worship will continue each 1st Sunday of the month until we are ready to begin our plan for Returning to Face to Face Gatherings. This proposed plan will be reviewed by our board on March 16th, and will become operational at that time.

We have come so far in this pandemic–and ZCC has kept people safe while still continuing our mission at being the hands and feet of Jesus in our world. We thank you all for your patience in these extraordinary times.
